A Look Back at Garden Oaks: The Place Where Millions of Meals Began

August is a big and exciting month for all of us, and that includes you.

Over the last 19 years, Kids’ Meals has grown from a dream at a kitchen table into a movement that reaches thousands of children every day.

This week, we’re celebrating a milestone:

We moved from our beloved Garden Oaks office to our brand-new headquarters in Spring Branch.

I can’t help but reflect on the love and memories held within our Garden Oaks home.

Its walls were filled with laughter, hard work, and countless moments that made it possible to deliver millions of free, healthy lunches to children across our community. Some of my favorite moments from that special place rose to front of mind during our move and I wanted to share them with you:

Those memories are a reminder of what truly makes Kids’ Meals possible: relationships.

Relationships with the families we serve, with the volunteers who show up faithfully, with our donors, and with each other.

Even as we grow, we remain grounded in the values that brought us together in the first place.

We still know each other by name. We still celebrate each story. And we still believe real change happens when people come together with one mission.

Thanks to you, we are now working toward an ambitious goal: feeding 26,000 preschool-aged children a day by 2031.

This new campus gives us the tools and space to make that possible, but you are the heart behind the work.

Are you ready to make some new memories? Sign up for your volunteer shift today!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s keep growing together.

With gratitude,
Beth Braniff Harp
CEO, Kids’ Meals

P.S. As we begin this exciting new chapter, you can help us fill our new home with hope. Every $2 delivers a lunch to a child on our program! Make a gift today and be part of the story we’re building together.
