About the Golda and Gil Baker Honoree Award

Golda and Gil Baker were pillars of support for Kids’ Meals over the course of more than 18 years. Gil played a vital role in our early days as a leader, volunteer, and donor, and together, Golda and Gil embodied how one couple’s dedication to community can inspire meaningful change. Following Golda’s passing, the Kids’ Meals Board of Directors established a recognition in her memory to honor other individuals who demonstrate exceptional volunteerism and a commitment to building a better world.

In 2024, Gil joined his beloved wife, Golda. We are deeply thankful for their unwavering support  and proud to commemorate this award in memory and honor of this extraordinary couple, whose legacy continues to inspire us all. Thanks to the Bakers’ enduring legacy and leadership, Kids’ Meals has prepared and delivered over 16.5 million free, healthy meals to thousands of food-insecure children, helping to nurture the next generation.
