Stronger to Serve Makes Meals for Hungry Children

A huge thanks to the staff and students at Stronger to Serve for volunteering to make meals for our Montgomery County Route Expansion!

In September 2018, the Board approved Kids’ Meals’ first ever Pilot Route Expansion outside of Harris County after a lengthy review and research process. This is Kids’ Meals 7th route expansion since 2006, but the first in Montgomery County where 10,830 preschool-aged children face debilitating hunger. In addition to feeding poverty-stricken children, part of the pilot’s purpose is creating a replicable expansion model that will one day lengthen our reach to every Houston zip code in need.

As of June 6, 2019, 148 daily meals being delivered right now to 125 preschool-aged children, 23 school-aged children in the 77354 zip code with more children being added every day.
