The Problem
Preschool-aged children often fall through the gap of social services addressing food insecurity. We address the hunger and food insecurity for children ages 5 and under who are not only at a critical developmental stage but cannot access school-based free meal programs. In 2023, Feeding America reported that Harris County ranked No. 1 in the nation as having the highest percentage of children living with food insecurity in highly populated counties.

Our Solution
Kids’ Meals is the ONLY home meal delivery program in the nation for poverty-stricken preschool-aged children. Each weekday, we deliver over 12,000 free, healthy meals to Houston’s hungriest preschool-aged children. When school is out, every child up to age 18 in these homes also receives a healthy meal from Kids’ Meals – that’s over 20,000 meals per day.
