An intimate evening brought Houston together to spotlight childhood hunger and the power of community

HOUSTON – June 1, 2026 – On World Hunger Day, Kids’ Meals, Inc. brought the community together for an evening that was equal parts celebration and call to action, unveiling the honorees, event leadership and featured programming for its November 2026 Harvest Luncheon at the annual kickoff event.

Held inside the Welcome Center at the new Kids’ Meals ExxonMobil Headquarters, the kickoff gathered supporters, volunteers and community leaders for a warm and inviting evening designed to announce the upcoming Harvest Luncheon chairs and honorees and spotlight its contribution to bringing awareness to childhood hunger in Houston along with the collective effort required to address it. Guests enjoyed drinks on the house courtesy of Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Saint Arnold Brewing Company, adding to the celebratory atmosphere of the evening.

This year’s Harvest Luncheon will feature:

  • Chair Susan Hesterberg, alongside her daughter, Jamie Hesterberg Daily, whose family has been longtime supporters of Kids’ Meals. Together, they share a deep commitment to giving back and helping advance the organization’s mission to end childhood hunger across Houston.
