In 2026, Kids’ Meals volunteers will help prepare and pack more than 4.2 million free, healthy meals for Houston-area preschoolers and their families. From making sandwiches and packing lunches to preparing food and supplies, Kids’ Meals offers volunteer opportunities in Houston that play an essential role in getting meals to children who need them.
Individuals, families, corporate groups, school groups, and community organizations are needed to make our mission possible! Volunteers ages 8 and up can help end childhood hunger while making a direct impact in their community.
Make a hands-on impact through volunteer opportunities at Kids’ Meals in Harris and Montgomery Counties.

How to register your child:
All volunteers, including children 8 years and older, must be registered to volunteer at Kids’ Meals. If your child does not have their own email address, you’re welcome to use yours.
How to register your child:
If you happen to miss the waiver email, no worries—we can complete it onsite during check-in.
If you’re registering more than one child, simply repeat these steps for each child. Just be sure to log out between registrations before starting the next one.
We understand that plans change! If you are no longer able to volunteer for a scheduled shift, please cancel your registration as soon as possible so your spot can be made available to another volunteer.

Why Cancelling Matters
Our volunteer shifts frequently reach capacity and may have other volunteers waiting for an opportunity to serve. When you cancel your registration in advance, your spot becomes available for someone else to help us feed Houston’s preschool-aged children facing food insecurity.
Please do not simply skip your shift if you know you cannot attend.
Taking a moment to cancel your registration helps our team plan appropriately and ensures we can make the most of every available volunteer spot.
Thank you for helping us keep our volunteer program running smoothly and for being part of the Kids’ Meals mission!
